This feature allows students to practice with the assignments in their class but without affecting their grade.
To enable this feature on an assignment:
- Find your assignment on the Class Management page.
- Click on the three vertical dots next to the assignment name or click on the assignment name to open the assignment menu and select Edit Assignment.
- This will take you to the Assignment Editor screen. Click on the checkbox next to Take in Practice Mode to enable.
- Select the Start and End dates. The system will automatically populate the Start and End dates to match the End date of your assignment, but it can be changed to any date within the term.
To access this feature:
- Find your assignment on the Class Management page
- Open the Assignment Menu by clicking on the vertical ellipses or clicking on the assignment name
- Select Take in Practice Mode
- If this is selected before the set Start date or after the set End date of this feature, a message will be displayed showing the timeframe when practice mode is or was available for this assignment.
- If this is selected within the open timeframe, practice mode will open. It functions nearly the same as Take Assignment does, but you will notice [Practice Mode] in red next to the assignment name. Submissions are still graded, but not saved or recorded. Each time you enter practice mode, you will have a fresh assignment to work with that can be accessed as often as needed during the open timeframe.
- If this is selected before the set Start date or after the set End date of this feature, a message will be displayed showing the timeframe when practice mode is or was available for this assignment.
- To exit practice mode, click on Class Management in the upper left-hand corner to return to the Class Management page.
