Assignment Availability Dates

The assignment availability dates can be found on the right-hand side of the Assignment Editor.

The primary assignment dates can be found at the top and are required.  Simply key in the date and time or use the convenient drop-down calendar for the date and up/down arrows for the time.  

• Publish Date - This is the date the assignment will be visible to the students in their assignment list in Class Management.
• Start Date - This is the date students can begin to enter work on an assignment
• Due Date - This is the date an assignment is due.
• End Date - This is the last date the assignment is available to submit work.  If you accept late work, you can set this date to occur for a time after the Due date.  Deductions for late work can be set in a Grade Template which will be discussed in another article.
• Publish Until Date - This is the last date the assignment is visible to the students in their assignment list in Class Management.

Note: Keep in mind that 12:00AM is the first minute of the day.  The program will not allow you to have an End date before the Due date because it would cause the assignment to be inaccessible to the students.  Instead, the program will automatically change the Due date to match the End date.

Additional Assignment Configurations are optional and can be used as needed.

• Students can take in Practice Mode - This feature allows students to take the assignment in practice mode and will be discussed in greater detail in another article
• Students can View Solutions - This feature allows students to view the solutions to the assignment problems and will be covered in greater detail in another article.
• Timed Assignment- This feature allows you to configure a set amount of time for students to complete an assignment. This time can be adjusted by the minute by either entering a number in the field or by using the up/down arrows. This will be discussed in greater detail in another article.
  • Reset All Students Timers - Click on this to reset the timers for all students in the class.
