Student Practice Area

Expert TA offers physics students a practice area where they can create assignments to practice concepts or study before a quiz or exam.  This practice area contains a fairly limited selection of problems from the physics problem library.

This area can be found by selecting Student Practice Area from the Class Menu on the class management page.

Next, a new screen opens like the one below.

To create a tutorial assignment:

  1. Select the book (if more than one is available)
  2. Next, select a chapter to explore the problems
  3. Lastly, select the problems you want to practice with by clicking on the checkbox in the upper left-hand corner of each problem.

The selected problems will be listed in the Problems Prob. Name box at the top in the order they were selected.  To remove a problem click on the red "x" to the right of the problem name/number or you can remove all selected problems by clicking on the Clear Selection button.

When you've selected all the problems you want to practice with, click on the Take Tutorial Assignment button.  This will open a screen like the one below where you can practice with your selected problems.

To return to the tutorial problem selection screen:

  1. Click Return to Tutorial Problem Selection
  2. You will see a notification stating "If you return to problem selection any work you have completed will be reset.
  3. Click OK to continue or Cancel to stay in the current practice assignment.

To exit the student practice area click on Class Management near the upper left-hand corner.
