To access this feature:
- Select your class from the Classes drop-down menu. Reminder: If you only have one class it will already be selected for you.
- Click on the three vertical dots next to the assignment name or click on the assignment name to open the assignment menu and select Take Assignment.
This will open the assignment where you can work the problems and see how the grade settings are applied as your students will see them.
- Grade Summary - shows the student any deductions they have earned from submission attempts, Hints, Feedback, and Late Penalties. It also shows their potential score for the assignment after subtracting any deductions the student earned.
- Submissions - Shows the student the number of attempts remaining for the problem and the deduction for each attempt. If you click on detailed view, a detailed list of previous submissions will be displayed at the bottom of the question under the Hints and Feedback areas.
- Hints & Feedback - If the student selects the Hint button or the Feedback button, the Hint or Feedback will be displayed in this area. This area also shows the deduction for accessing each hint or feedback and the number of Hints or Feedback available for the question or question part.
- Instructor/TA Admin - This area is only visible to instructors and co-instructors or teaching assistants for the class is discussed in greater detail below.
Instructor/TA Admin Area
Click on Instructor/TA Admin to expand the additional functions.
- All Problems button - will reset all your submitted data for all problems in the assignment and new variable values will be created. When you click on this button, a warning notification will appear. Click the OK button to continue or the Cancel button to return to the assignment without resetting any data.
- This Problem button - will reset all your submitted data for the active problem, including all problem parts. When you click on this button a warning notification will appear. Click the OK button to continue or the Cancel button to return to the assignment without resetting any data.
- This Part button - will reset all your submitted data for the active problem part. When you click on this button, a warning notification will appear. Click the OK button to continue or the Cancel button to return to the assignment without resetting any data.
- Last Submission button - will reset only the last submission for the active problem part. When you click on this button, a warning notification will appear. Click the OK button to continue or the Cancel button to return to the assignment without resetting any data.
- Timer button - This button will not be present unless the assignment is timed, and will reset your timer for the assignment. When you click on this button, a warning notification will appear. Click the OK button to continue or the Cancel button to return to the assignment.
After clicking the OK button, you will be taken back to the timed assignment warning message but any submitted data will remain (unless previously reset by one of the above options).
Note: All functions in the Instructor/TA area will only affect the instructor, co-instructor, or TA that clicked them and will not reset any other student, instructor, co-instructor, or TA in the class.
