Many students need additional time for timed assignments. For these cases, you can set an extra time percentage for a student in your class roster.
To add a disability setting for a student:
- First, click the Edit button next to the student's name
- Next, add a percentage of time in the Disability Settings by typing a number in the box between 0 and 100 or using the up/down arrows to change the value in five percent increments.
- Lastly, click the Update button to save the settings or click the Cancel button to exit the edit window without saving.
After saving the Disability Settings for the student, the Disability column in your roster will reflect the disability percentage entered for that student.
This extra time percentage will be automatically added to ALL timed assignments in the class. This can be a huge timesaver because it saves you from entering an extension for each student with a disability on every timed assignment.
Example Case: If you set a student's Disability Settings at 50%, then that student would be allowed 150% of the time that all other students receive for timed assignments. So, if a timed exam is set for 60 minutes, the student would automatically receive 90 minutes to complete the same exam.
