Dropping Students from your Class

When a student drops out of the class or transfers to another class, you can remove that student from your class roster. Dropping a student from your class removes that student's access to all class material, and removes the student from your grade sheet.  


To drop a student from your class:

  • First, click the Edit button to the left of the student's name
  • Next, uncheck the checkbox next to Active Status
  • Lastly, click the Update button to save the changes or click the Cancel button to exit the edit screen without saving.


Note:  This change can be easily reversed by re-selecting the checkbox next to Active Status.


After you have dropped a student from your class, the Status column for that student will change in your roster to "Dropped" with the date that action was taken.



Note:  The student or TA may still appear in the Manage Grade area unless you also hide them by de-selecting the Show in Grade Sheet checkbox.  For more information click here
