First, select your book from the Books drop-down menu.
Note: Your default book will already be selected. If you need additional books, please contact your account manager.
Next, select the chapter from the Chapters drop-down menu.
After selecting a chapter, you will see expandable categories of problems. Expand the category by clicking on the "+" sign to the left of the category name to explore the problem selection.
Next, select the problem you want to use in your assignment by clicking on the checkbox in the upper left-hand corner beside the problem name. Selected problems will also be highlighted in a light pink color.
Selected problems will appear in the Problems area, beneath the assignment description, in the order they were selected.
Hovering your mouse over a problem name will show you a preview of the problem in a pop-up window.
Show Answers and Previously Selected Problems
While exploring the problem library, you may want to see the answers to confirm the difficulty or concepts that your student would experience. Click on the Show Answers checkbox and the answers for each question will show in a green font below each part of the problem in the catalog.
The Show Answers option will also display the correct answers for our Advanced Graphical questions, such as Free Body Diagrams or Drag-and-Drop exercises.
When browsing problems, you may see a yellow block next to a problem. This indicates that the problem has been used in another assignment for the class. This does not prevent you from using the problem again in other assignments. There are no limits to the types or number of problems you can add to an assignment.
