Assignment Security Options

Expert TA provides two security options for assignments that can be used together or separately, password protection and IP filtering.  

To access this feature:

1. Find your assignment on the Class Management page
2. Open the Assignment Menu by clicking on the vertical ellipses or clicking on the assignment name
3. Select Edit Assignment to open the Assignment Editor
4. Select the Security button

When you click on the Security button, a pop-up window will appear with an Add New Access Filter button.

After you click the Add New Access Filter button, the window will display two fields IP Filter and Password.  These options can be used separately or together by simply filling in one or both fields and clicking on Update to save your settings or Cancel to discard the settings.  

After clicking Update, you will see the filter settings listed.  You can edit the filter by clicking Edit or remove the filter by clicking Delete.  When you are finished, click on the "X" in the upper right-hand corner to return to the Assignment Editor screen.
