In many cases, the Student ID is used to match grades up when exporting and importing grades into other programs such as Blackboard, Desire2Learn, Canvas, and Moodle. If a student enters an incorrect ID or fails to enter their ID when registering, it can cause errors when working on such exports and imports.
Students and Instructors can edit their profile information, including the Student ID, by going to My Account in the upper right-hand corner and selecting Edit Profile from the drop-down menu.
On the next screen, they can see their profile information, classes they are registered for, and a Change Password button. Click the Edit Profile button to make changes to your profile information.
On the pop-up window, you can edit your First Name, Last Name, and Student ID/NO as needed. Click the Save button to save your changes or click the "X" in the upper right-hand corner of this pop-up window to exit without saving any changes.
To make the changes yourself, follow these steps:
- First, select View/Manage Class Roster from the Class Menu.
- Next, click the Edit button to the left of the student's name in your roster.
- Next, make the necessary changes to the Student ID
- Lastly, click the Update button in the lower right-hand corner to save your changes, or click the Cancel button to exit the edit screen without saving.
